Account

How do I create an account?

Download Chef Mate from the App Store or Google Play and follow the on-screen sign-up instructions.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from any of the desktop, Android, or iOS apps:

Go to Settings
Select Manage Profile
Click Delete Profile
Confirm the deletion when prompted

Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.

Deleting Data

How do I delete a recipe?

Open the recipe you want to remove, tap the menu icon (three dots), and select Delete Recipe. Confirm the deletion when prompted. This will remove the recipe from your saved collection but will not affect your account or other data.

How do I delete grocery items?

Navigate to your Grocery List, swipe left on the item you want to remove, and tap Delete. To clear your entire grocery list, tap the menu icon at the top of the list and select Clear All Items.

How do I delete meal planning items?

Go to your Meal Plan, tap the meal you want to remove, and select Remove from Plan. To clear an entire day or week, tap the menu icon and select Clear Day or Clear Week.

Will deleting data affect my account?

No — deleting recipes, grocery items, or meal plan entries only removes that specific data. Your account, profile, and all other saved content remain intact.

Can I save my favorite recipes?

Yes — tap the heart icon on any recipe to save it to your favorites.

Yes — use the share button on any recipe to send it via text, email, or social media.
